Focusing-Oriented Coaching

Safe change

Focusing is a method developed by Eugene Gendlin, an American philosopher and psychotherapist. It is a unique, easily accessible process that facilitates a "dialogue" between our body and thoughts. This process helps resolve and reframe situations, events, and emotions within us (definition quoted from  www.fokuszolas.hu)

As a coach, focusing trainer, and private individual, I wholeheartedly recommend this method, which has significantly contributed to my own personal development.

What is the method good for?

Focusing supports experiential awareness, the development of physical and emotional balance, and, through this, personal growth.

  • Enhances body awareness and inner focus
  • Helps in processing and gaining deeper understanding of complex or emotionally challenging situations in any area of life
  • Resolves emotional blockages
  • Supports decision-making
  • Improves self-esteem
  • Can be used for deepening self-knowledge and supporting others (as a "focusing companion")

This method works independently and can also be integrated with other approaches such as coaching or therapy.
